Welcome to your own private stretch of shoreline—exclusively for resort guests. Our sandy beach and breakwater offer the perfect setting for sun-filled days and peaceful ocean views. Lounge chairs are set up and waiting, and you’ll find beach towels available anytime in the guest laundry. Wander the shoreline at low tide and keep your eyes peeled—for sea glass hunting and surprise visitors in the cove! Guests occasionally spot seals, otters, or even dolphins playing in the waves. Whether you're sipping coffee by the ocean or soaking up the sun, this beach is all yours.

hot tubs

7 of our 8 cottages have hot tubs

Our Canadian made cedar wood-fired hot tubs are chemical free and filled with salt water directly from the ocean. Electricity free, our tubs are heated entirely with wood purchased from our resort office. Each hot tub add-on includes one(1) bin of firewood.

BOOK YOUR HOT TUB WITH YOUR COTTAGE

Upon booking, let the Guest Services Team know if you would like to use your cottage’s hot tub. If you’re booking online, make sure to select the Hot Tub Add-On to your reservation. We need a minimum of 24-hours advance notice to add a hot tub to a reservation.

Hot Tub Add On- $65.00+HST - Hot Tub heated to roughly 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Guests may heat the tubs to their own desired temperature throughout the remainder of their reservation, making them as hot or as cool as preferred. Using the insulated layer and wooden lid when not in use, your hot tub can stay warm until the next day! Keep in mind that larger tubs take slightly longer to heat up.

Please note that to ensure the longevity of the tubs, only wood purchased from the resort’s office may be used in the hot tubs. Additional bins of firewood are available for pre-purchase as an add-on to your reservation or they may be purchased from the Guest Services Team during office hours.

Ocean front Wood-Fired Sauna

This is a communal amenity available for use by registered guests at any of the cottages on the resort.

This sauna is electricity free and powered entirely by wood purchased from the resort’s office. It has a half-moon opening that gives guests a fantastic view of the St. Margaret’s Bay. Up to 6-8 guests can be comfortably seated to enjoy this oceanfront sauna.

Starting 2025 from January 2 to February 28 and November 1 to December 19, our wood-fired sauna is open to non-overnight guests. Guests can now enjoy both the wood-fired sauna and our beach for a cold plunge, available Sunday through Thursday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Please see our Cold Plunge & Sauna page for more details.

PLAN TO USE THE SAUNA?

Let the Guest Services Team know at the time of booking as this amenity is only available to registered resort guests who have signed a waiver. If you’re booking online, make sure to add the Wood-Fired Sauna Add-On.

To preserve the longevity of the wood-fired sauna, only wood purchased from the resort’s office may be used to heat the sauna. Bins of firewood are available for pre-purchase at the time of booking, or may be purchased from the Guest Services Team during resort office hours.

Only fresh water from the cottages may be used to generate steam. Using salt water from the ocean will damage the sauna.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Reservations for all gear rentals are booked on a first come, first serve basis. As such, advance reservations are highly recommended but not required. You may book a reservation when booking a cottage online by selecting the desired Gear Rental Add-On. Alternatively, you can book by contacting our Guest Services Team via email or phone.

  • Payment can be made by major credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express) or Interac Debit. A valid credit card is required to be on file for all gear rentals. Cash payments are not accepted. We can accept payment via Email Money Transfer (EMT) so long as there is also a valid credit card on file. All reservations are non-refundable.

  • All gear rentals have a minimum age requirement of 18 years. Gear may not be rented on behalf of someone else. Only registered resort guests may reserve gear rentals, and they must take place during their stay.

When your reservation begins, head to the resort office and our Guest Services Team will get you set up. All renters are required to review and sign a rental agreement and waiver. Those guests who book their gear rental online will be sent their rental agreement and waiver to sign electronically. Upon receipt of payment, and signed rental agreements/waivers, the Guest Services Team will walk you over to your gear. A visual inspection of the gear will be conducted in conjunction with all renters to ensure everything is operating properly. E-bike renters will also receive basic instructions on how to operate the gear. All safety equipment (PFDs/helmets) must be worn during gear use.

When your reservation ends, head to the resort office as all gear must be signed back in with a Guest Services Team member. Gear may not be left outside the office, or on the property. Guests are responsible for their rented gear until it is signed back in with the Guest Services Team. All gear will be inspected jointly by the renter and the Guest Services Team to ensure that everything is still in working order.

  • Rentals not returned on time will be charged an additional rate with no further rights to the gear. Our reasoning for this is to discourage late returns as our office closes for the day at 5:00PM. We are also dependent on gear being returned on time to fulfill the following reservations as we are often fully booked. We never want to disappoint someone looking to begin their gear rental reservation. Gear cannot be dropped off after hours, and must be signed back in with a Guest Services Team member. If rentals are not returned 24 hours after they are due back, the renter will be charged the current market cost to replace the gear (including all add-ons such as PFDs, paddles, and/or helmets).
